- Degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering or related field.
- PE license or ability to obtain in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia within 6 months.
- Experience with the construction, development and testing of deep, large diameter production wells, primarily in unconsolidated sediments. MAR or ASR well drilling experience is a plus.
- Experience with the design, installation and testing of submersible and vertical turbine pumps and motors.
- Excellent oral and written communication and client management skills.
- Ability to make decisions on significant water supply planning, design and engineering procedures.
- Function as technical specialist and/or project manager on a variety of water supply projects.
- Interact with and provide technical support to an experienced staff of engineers, geologists, GIS technicians and field technicians.
- Provide project engineering and task management; collect, assimilate and present data in reports, memos and public forums; lead production of design calculations and technical reports; lead preparation of engineering plans and specifications for the design of water supply facilities.
- Demonstrate superior task management skills, including scheduling, prioritizing, following up, and keeping project information organized.
- Demonstrate superior problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Assist in state and local-level water resources permitting efforts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
