    Our client specializes in providing relief from building damage caused by fire, water, wind, and other forms of destruction.

    With a ten-year plan for aggressive growth and a commitment to nationwide expansion, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Director to join their team.


    As the Accounting Director, you will play a critical role in overseeing all financial activities of the company, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and supporting our ambitious growth plans.

    This leadership position demands strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.

    Focus:
    Lead and oversee the daily operations of the finance and accounting department.

    Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights for decision-making.

    Conduct regular financial forecasting and budgeting to support strategic planning initiatives.

    Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.

    Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end and year-end close processes.

    Perform account reconciliations and address any discrepancies or issues as they arise.

    Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

    Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

    Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and ensure adherence to relevant standards.

    Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits to ensure compliance and address any audit findings.


    Skill Set:
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred but not required.

    Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, with 5+ years of accounting experience.

    Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including debits/credits and general ledger accounting.

    Experience with account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.

    Proficiency in financial software such as Quickbooks or similar systems.

    Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.

    Knowledge of technical accounting standards and ability to apply them effectively.

    Strong understanding of financial concepts and ability to communicate them clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
