- Serve as primary contact for clients related to insurance matters, overseeing the portfolio of commercial accounts effectively communicating program details, proactively addressing client needs & timely resolving issues.
- Lead renewal process & cross-serve to ensure a comprehensive approach to client's needs.
- Prepare & present materials during annual renewal ensuring quality & inclusion of necessary information.
- Take ownership of the execution of the overall Agency stewardship plan. Facilitate collaboration between Account Executive, Risk Services, and Claims. Coordinate team meetings to assess adherence to service commitments with clients. Monitor the progress, document outcomes and incorporate this data into the renewal presentation.
- Coordinate mid-term policy changes between insurers and insurance carriers.
- Accurately document Agency Management System in accordance with established agency procedures.
- Prepare and complete applications for renewals to the insurance carriers.
- Confirm final policy orders with producer and underwriters; issue binders confirming specifics of coverage.
- Manage the accuracy of files by reviewing insurance policies for correct information in relation to the application, carrier quotation, and proposal.
- Respond to customer requests and premium inquiries ensuring completion/resolution of all customer service contacts.
- Review construction contract documents for insurance-related requirements.
- Initiate contact with clients and/or underwriters in order to clarify or acquire necessary information.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all client and organizational data.
- Demonstrate integrity and honesty and a positive attitude toward clients, other staff, management, and business contacts in performing the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma required
- Possession of a valid State of Michigan Property & Casualty Insurance Agent License
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the insurance industry is required
- Must have work experience in commercial account management, underwriting and/or client service
- Computer skills necessary to maintain various records and prepare reports; familiarity with the use of general office equipment
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite required
- AMS360 and ImageRight experience desired; will consider experience with related agency management systems
- Knowledge and understanding of generally accepted office procedures
- Good organization and time management skills are required to successfully perform the duties of this position
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with a wide variety of business associates including clients, all levels of staff, Insurance companies, etc. in the exchange of information and resolution of outstanding issues
- Physical ability to sit for prolonged periods of time at the computer
- Mental ability to handle pressures related to meeting deadlines, multi-tasking, and maintaining accurate and detailed records
- Normal office environment with little, if any, discomfort due to heat, dust, noise, and the like. Evening or weekend work hours may be occasionally required.

Strategic Commercial Lines Account Manager
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Property & Casualty, the Strategic Commercial Lines Account Manager performs a variety of essential tasks for the Client Service Department ensuring clients receive prompt, accurate and professional service. This person will be the primary contact for all insurance matters managing a portfolio of high-profile agency clients.
