- Undertake conflict of interest checks in the firm's conflicts database on clients and any involved parties identified on each new engagement.
- Responsible for identifying, clearing and where appropriate elevating conflicts issues, which will include requesting waivers per CEO advice.
- Serves as an informational and procedural resource for attorneys and staff regarding new matter opening, waiver letters to be sent to clients, and related department policies.
- Resolves identified conflicts of interest under the guidance of the CEO of the firm.
- Reviews waiver letters for clients under the guidance of the CEO of the firm.
- Maintain and update files in system regarding addresses and contact person.
- Ensure rate codes are established and maintained in financial software.
- Scan all documents received for new files in Enterprise Accounting System.
- Prepare and distribute monthly New Case Report outlining practice area.
- Provide input regarding the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm's conflict of interest processes, while also supporting efforts to ensure compliance with relevant firm policies, systems and processes.
- Consistently contributes to the department work product by communicating and collaborating in a manner that enhances individual and team productivity.
- Displays professionalism, and quality of service, positivity to internal staff of the Firm as well as external clients via electronic and print correspondence, over the telephone and in-person.
- Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree preferred or commensurate experience relevant to position responsibilities.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook including Word and especially Excel.
- Excellent interpretation and problem solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain focus.
- Highly organized and motivated to efficiently facilitate work flow in a team environment.
- Receptive to direction and feedback.
- Contributes to process and workflow improvements.
