- PhD in Audiology is preferred (0 experience), or 3-5 years of experience as a Hearing Aid Specialist and completed coursework/program approved by the state.
- Valid state licensure as a Hearing Aid Specialist
- Experience conducting hearing assessments and tests to determine patients' hearing loss and hearing aid requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in the use of hearing aid programming software and equipment
- Knowledge of hearing aid styles, technologies, and manufacturers
- Interpret audiograms and other diagnostic test results to make appropriate hearing aid recommendations
- Educate patients about various types of hearing aids, their features, and benefits
- Take ear impressions and measurements to ensure proper hearing aid fit and comfort
- Program, fit, and adjust hearing aids according to patients' specific needs and preferences
- Provide instruction and guidance to patients on the proper use, care, and maintenance of their hearing aids
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Follow up with patients regularly to assess their satisfaction and progress with their hearing aids
- Collaborate with audiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive hearing care
