    Description

    Summary About the Position:


    This position is located on Fort Shafter, Hawaii, which is near the Historical Palm Circle on the island of Oahu.

    Responsibilities:
    Serve as Inventory Manager responsible for managing munitions in accordance with the Standard Army Ammunitions System (SAAS).


    Provide inventory management for US ammunition and guided missiles and large rocket assets in the Pacific, to include directing fills, movement, distribution, and disposal of assigned inventories.


    Review US Army Pacific Command (USARPAC) requirements for combat load, sustainment load training, war reserve Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) PACOM exercises.


    Maintain technical ammunitions files containing identification of munitions and stock, fund items in the SAAS supply system, and establish and maintain stockage and similar lists.

    Conduct supply control studies.

    Specialized Experience:


    One year of specialized experience which includes providing property management support to include managing inventory, supply requisitioning, cataloging and utilizing logistical systems for munitions; providing inventory management for ammunition, guided missiles and large rockets.

    This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

    Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.

    You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

    Time in Grade Requirement:


    Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).

    Additional Information

    Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

    This is a(n) Ammunition Management Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
