As a member of our team, you will serve as a core point of contact for all internal engineering disciplines, subcontractors, regulators, and customers.
The program manager excels across a breadth of functions including systems engineering, requirements verification, supply chain, business development, vehicle integration, and project management.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for reporting the vehicle status and critical path items to the team at VardaLeads the vehicle build schedule, launch site planning, and confirming payloads meet customer requirementsManage a fleet of vehicles through the entirety of their design-build-test-fly processVehicle will be both in build and in flight operationsBe able identify and clear road blocks from the vehicle build processDrive the vehicle build while being mindful of cost, schedule, and riskLeads program reviews, organize technical reviewsMaintains a consistent interface with Varda engineering, operations, and sales teamsKeeps team aware of new opportunities pull-in schedulesTravel as needed for customer and supplier meetings (~25%)Cutting scope on projectsBasic Qualifications5+ years' experience as a project or program managerU.S.

Program Manager:
$135,000 - $185,000 per yearOn site role located in El Segundo, CAITAR RequirementsVarda, like all employers, must ensure that its employees working in the United States are lawfully authorized to work in the U.S. Additionally, our employees are exposed to and have access to certain export-controlled items. At present, some of our technology to which employees have access requires a license to be exported to individuals other than "U.S. Persons" as defined in U.S. export regulations. Because our employees are provided access to export-controlled items, our current policy is to only hire "U.S. persons" who are permitted to have access to our technology without an export license.
