Valves Designer/Drafter Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer/Drafter to join our dynamic team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks, along with a strong background in engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing processes.

Valves Designer/Drafter Responsibilities

Utilize AutoCAD and SolidWorks to create detailed engineering drawings and designs for production and manufacturing purposes
Ensure designs adhere to specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements
Generate design specifications, documentation, and comprehensive material lists for manufacturing processes
Prepare complete documentation packages for engineering projects
Verify drawings for accuracy and compliance with specifications, codes, and regulations
Process Engineering Request for Change (ERC) and issue Engineering Change Notices (ECN) in coordination with the QA/QC team
Maintain a structured and organized system for DWG and design package filing to ensure easy accessibility and retrieval of documents
Collaborate with the production floor to develop accurate As-Built drawings and ensure correct implementation of designs
Provide hands-on support to production teams as needed
Assist the sales department by creating General Arrangement (GA) drawings and developing customer-specific drawings to meet client requirements
Provide design support to R&D, sales, and production departments for new projects and product development initiatives

Valves Designer/Drafter Position Requirements

Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or related field preferred
Previous experience in engineering design and drafting, preferably in the manufacturing industry
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings and documentation
Knowledge of engineering standards, codes, and regulations
