- Support the Head Teacher to facilitate lessons in all subject areas
- Collaborate with the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion to keep multiculturalism and diversity as a priority of curricular work and curriculum development
- Demonstrate a passion for lifelong learning; pursue professional development in all areas of Early Childhood education
- Guide students in their social-emotional development, maintaining expectations and support for positive and productive student behavior
- Respectfully engage with families and demonstrate sensitivity to cultures, values, family configurations, and beliefs.
- Assist with documenting student learning with photos and videos
- Participate in weekly Grade Level team meetings

- Bachelor's Degree required
- Experience teaching, preferably Pre-K level
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging in teaching and learning & experience in working in a culturally diverse community.
- Strong interpersonal skills with students, colleagues and other adults, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated technology skills, familiarity with Seesaw and other educational technology tools preferred
- Creative problem-solving skills, a positive attitude that allows one to cooperate and collaborate effectively with others
- The ability to sit and stand uninterrupted for 30 minute periods of time.
- The ability to traverse on and across variable surfaces (e.g. level flooring, stairs, turf, gravel, asphalt, etc.).
- The ability to lead, supervise and accompany students to all areas of the school campus (including all indoor and outdoor areas), including during day-to-day responsibilities and in case of emergency.
- The ability to position oneself (e.g., stand, sit, crouch, and kneel down) in order to support students.
- The ability to work outdoors, year-round, in variable weather conditions.
- The ability to lift and hold 15 lbs overhead.
- The ability to occasionally move transport (e.g., move or drag) 25 lbs
- The ability to maintain focus and composure in an energetic and, at times, loud environment
