    Role:
    Front Office Supervisor - Chicago, IL

    Hampton Inn & Suites Illinois Medical District UIC is a newly established hotel strategically located in the heart of the bustling Medical District.

    Our hotel is committed to providing exceptional hospitality services tailored to meet the unique needs of medical professionals, patients, and their families.

    We aim to create a comfortable and welcoming environment that promotes rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation.

    We are seeking a passionate and experienced Front Office Supervisor with a strong focus on guest service to join our team.

    The ideal candidate will play a key role in shaping the guest's experience, ensuring that every interaction is characterized by warmth, efficiency, and genuine care.

    Prior pre-opening experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.

    What You'll Do:

    Guest-Centric Leadership:

    • Lead and inspire the front office team to provide exceptional guest service, creating a welcoming atmosphere from check-in to check-out.
    • Foster a guest-centric culture by setting high service standards and ensuring team members understand and embody the importance of guest satisfaction.

    Pre-Opening Activities:

    • Contribute to pre-opening activities, including staff recruitment, training, and the implementation of front office procedures to ensure a seamless and positive guest experience from day one.

    Check-In/Check-Out Process:

    • Oversee the smooth and efficient check-in and check-out process, ensuring accuracy in guest information and billing.
    • Address and resolve any guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally.

    Team Development:

    • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills and knowledge of front office staff.
    • Motivate and mentor the team, encouraging a positive and collaborative work environment.

    Guest Relations:

    • Build strong relationships with guests, anticipating and exceeding their needs to enhance their overall experience.
    • Implement guest feedback mechanisms and take proactive measures to address comments and suggestions.

    Collaboration with Other Departments:

    • Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure coordinated efforts for guest satisfaction.

    Who You Are:

    • Proven experience in a front office supervisory role within the hospitality industry, with a focus on guest service.
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with hotel reservation systems and other front office software.
    • Pre-opening experience in a hotel setting is highly desirable.
