    Job Description

    Customer Service and Loan Servicing Clerk

    Join a team at Peak Asset Lending, a Private Mortgage Lender specializing in real estate investment loans. With over 25 years of experience in the finance industry, we offer a casual dress code and flexible office hours, valuing the contribution of each team member.

    Our Loan Servicing Operations department has an open position suitable for training candidates without experience.

    Job Description:

    Varied responsibilities related to loan boarding and servicing of commercial loan portfolio. This role involves regular interaction with clients, insurance companies, title, law, and escrow firms, while maintaining a positive team spirit.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Boarding/Setting up loans on servicing system
    • Processing payments
    • Initiating escrow payments for taxes and insurance
    • Managing due dates and payments for taxes, insurance renewals, HOA Fees
    • Analyzing escrow disbursements to ensure accurate impound balances
    • Reconciling bank accounts with accounting systems
    • Producing various reports for the company and department on a regular basis
    • Providing exceptional customer service and support

    Some beneficial skills, although not mandatory at Peak, include:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
    • Experience with software like Quickbooks, Nortridge Loan Servicing
    • Background in real estate, title, escrow, or mortgage lending
    • Strong client and intra-departmental service and communication skills
    • Initiative and self-starter capabilities
    • Ability to multitask with attention to detail
    • Problem-solving attitude and teamwork mentality with a solid work ethic
    • Effective time management skills to meet deadlines
