    Product Specialist - New Orleans, United States - 100 LCMC Health

    Description

    The Product Specialist is responsible for analyzing, planning, implementing, maintaining and evaluating identified critical high-volume supplies used within the clinical and/or non-clinical setting as well as, clinical and/or non-clinical purchased services.

    Works collaboratively with the Supply Chain team and key end users within their service line division to implement the supply chain strategy to enhance value and quality.

    Acts as a liaison between the supply chain and facilities to help transform the strategy and vision into practice.
    Your every day
    Oversight of supply chain non-clinical contracts and/or management of clinical contract compliance within assigned service line.
    Non-Clinical Contracts
    Oversight of contracting process for non-clinical contracts.
    Develops

    quantitative/qualitative

    analyses and methodologies for driving cost reduction efforts
    Utilizes RFP process to enhance value of contracts.
    Executes local contracts as necessary to add value to the organization.
    Responsible for preparation and verification of contracts and associated paperwork to prepare a complete contract package.
    Maintains vendor relationships and enforces vendor management policy.
    Serves as a resource for non-clinical teams for new products, current and new contracts, utilization and vendor management.
    And/or
    Clinical Contracts
    Works collaboratively with other teams to improve contract compliance.

    Facilitates product conversions by gathering data, analyzing data, validates cross references and implements conversion plan to improve compliance or enhance value.

    Communicates with clinical teams as necessary regarding product conversions. Serves as the liaison between the clinical team and the supply chain operational team.
    Serves as a resource for clinical teams for new products, current and new contracts, utilization and vendor management.
    Assists as needed with vendor management and contract

    negotiations.
    Implements strategies developed by supply chain team to support products within non-clinical and/or clinical areas.
    Develops and maintains system level decision teams which guide product selection and standardization.
    Responsible for monitoring assigned service lines and intervening as necessary to achieve additional value/compliance.
    Participates in business reviews with vendors and GPO to maximize

    value.
    Summarizes and communicates finding from business review to stakeholders as

    needed.

    leadership.
