- Responsible for monitoring inventories (component materials, rework, and finished goods) to ensure their accuracy.
- Activities include verifying physical counts, analyzing cycle count adjustments, research of count variances, reconciling perpetual records to the general ledger.
- Responsible to work with Operations to ensure proper product set-up (for standard costs) for new or existing items.
- Monitor updates to existing products as necessary.
- Responsible for maintaining and preparing standard cost estimates.
- Prepare analysis of product costs, purchase price variances, freight charges.
- Prepare analysis of warranty and RMA claims.
- Manage capital expense programs, working with project managers to understand actual costs versus budget and anticipate potential cost overruns.
- Perform month-end close routines, including preparing journal entries, reconciling inventory perpetual records, and preparing account reconciliations.
- Assist with monthly margin and expense variance analysis; support the controllers to prepare financial cost analysis.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting
- A minimum of 3 years' experience
- Large manufacturing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of SAP preferred
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Self-starter who can work independently and execute projects effectively
- Able to work hands on within the various departments of the organization and communicate effectively up the chain of command
