    Description

    Overview:

    Great opportunity within a fast growing business platform at a well-established development company Gilbane Development Company is seeking an experienced professional to expand our national student and market rate housing platform. The ideal candidate will possess an understanding of construction, design and finance.

    Responsibilities:

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Assist with execution of select projects within the current development pipeline with properties in various stages
    • Work with Analysts & Associates on project feasibility studies (Market research, underwriting, investment thesis) and financial closings.
    • Assist with the management of various stakeholders through Design, Construction Cost exercises, and Value Engineering
    • Project Management through due diligence, entitlement & permitting, scheduling, and construction
    • Perform constructability and coordination reviews, including pre-construction planning, scheduling and cost control
    • Day to day liaison with design/construction teams
    • Maintain scope and cost while meeting schedule and quality goals
    • Oversee cost management reporting
    • Uphold and represent Gilbanes core values and reputation
    Qualifications:

    Education/Experience

    • Bachelors Degree. Masters degree preferred, in real estate development related field (i.e., engineering, architecture, construction, finance, law, economics).
    • 3-5 years' experience in construction and/or real estate development
    • Self-starter with the ability to work on three to four overlapping projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment
    • Attention to detail and ability to execute at a high level
    • High degree of organizational skills and problem-solving ability
    • Ability to prioritize/execute to achieve desired company and project goals with prudence and sense of urgency
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Strong relevant computer skills

    Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

    For Providence, RI this ranges from $123,800.00-$170,200.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
    For Boston, MA this ranges from $137,900.00-$189,700.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
    For Arlington, VA this ranges from $137,900.00-$189,700.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
