Location: Washington, DC

Summary: The Business Development (BD) Manager in the Washington D.C. office collaborates with partners to drive business growth, boost the Firm's profile in D.C., and support regional and global practice areas.

Responsibilities:

Assist partners in developing business plans and focusing on high-value opportunities.
Support partners in managing and expanding relationships, and identifying new business development possibilities.
Track referral relationships and enhance intelligence on contacts and companies.
Plan and oversee events for clients and potential clients.
Create targeted presentations to showcase the Firm's experience and value proposition.
Collaborate on responses to Legal Panel RFPs and maintain pitch records.
Ensure marketing materials are updated with relevant information.
Work on consistent messaging across marketing efforts.

Identify and pursue rankings, awards, and PR opportunities.
Create marketing descriptions and conduct competitive research.
Develop client programs and identify speaking and sponsorship opportunities.

Qualifications:

Five+ years of relevant experience in Washington, D.C.
Experience in executive level presentations and business writing.
BA required; additional degrees are a plus.
Prior business development experience in a top US law firm preferred.
Knowledge of litigation and/or financial services terminology.
Familiarity with the legal landscape in D.C., nationally, and globally.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong writing, editing, analytical, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in standard software applications and CRM systems.
Ability to handle time-sensitive requests and maintain high standards of professionalism.

Compensation: Estimated salary range is $150,000-$175,000 depending on experience.
