    Job Overview:
    XPECT Solutions, Inc. is looking for a Database Developer to support our Federal customer out of Huntsville, AL. The Database Developer will support our customer. This position will provide mission critical support to our customer, and all their efforts. This will be in a secure environment and the position will be responsible for SQL and PL/SQL development.

    Core Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):

    • Developing the backend reports to support user needs;
    • Developing custom scripts to automate various database management processes, monitoring and troubleshooting database performance;
    • Developing, optimizing, and tuning stored procedures, functions, triggers, views, and queries in support of application development;
    • Interfacing with customers, users, and developers as needed;
    • Maintaining the database schema, database design, and transition development activities;
    • Providing technical subject matter expertise (SME) on ingesting into the database from sources such as file systems, and perform maintenance, to include tuning with various transition implementation strategies with inhouse developed applications;
    • Resolving various database issues, to include problems with data modeling, design, queries, security control, backup/restore, disaster recovery, and import/export data, as well as coordinate with data ingest efforts with regard to database operations;
    • Auditing performance by performing advanced activities such as load testing, response time testing; and providing a report on these activities on an ongoing basis so that overall system performance may be documented and charters in the service level agreements (SLAs) are met

    Requirements:

    • Active Top-Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI
    ​​​​​​​ - A Counter Intelligence Polygraph is required after start

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development/engineering, including requirements analysis, software development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and problem diagnosis/resolution.
    • 5 to 7 years creating complex queries, stored procedures, functions, and reports using SQL.
    • Ability to download data using Linux Bash command line scripts.
    • Manipulate data in Oracle tables to create custom reports using Oracle Label Security.
    • Good understanding of legal requirements for taints, purges, and how markings workquick learner of complex business rules.

    Preferred Additional Skills and Qualifications:

    • Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
    • Experience with Oracle 19c.
    • Experience developing scripts in Windows PowerShell and/or Linux Bash scripts.
