    Manager, Corporate Communications

    In addition to its clinical pipeline, Agios has multiple investigational therapies in preclinical development and an industry-leading research team with unmatched expertise in cellular metabolism and genetics.

    Agios Pharmaceuticals is searching for a dynamic Corporate Communications Manager to join our growing Communications team.

    The

    Corporate Communications Manager


    will be responsible for supporting internal communications and employee engagement activities that will help support a growing organization dedicated to pioneering therapies for rare diseases and redefining the future of work.


    What you will do:
    Help develop and implement multidimensional corporate communications strategies and corresponding tactics to support business priorities and initiatives

    Partner with colleagues across the business to craft compelling narrative and develop creative campaigns that build trust and alignment on company culture, vision, values and goals

    Deliver impactful communications content with clear, timely and consistent messaging and call to actions to drive engagement for employees through a variety of channels including email, intranet, social media, company meetings and more

    Develop and deepen cross functional relationships to drive a central communications strategy, improve transparency and ensure alignment and consistent across internal communications and employee engagement efforts

    Support functional leaders in constructing internal communications

    Manage the company intranet and drive increases use by all employees

    Support communications activities for all major company milestones and announcements

    Play a critical role in building and executing the company's internal events strategy, including our flagship employee meeting, Agios Connect

    Help coordinate logistics and execution for company meetings, lunch and learns and other internal events

    Promote Agios culture and ways of working through a deep understand of our Mission, Vision and Values

    Help build data review and analysis processes to measure effectiveness, impact and engagement of communications programs and special initiatives

    Support partnership with HR to plan and develop further programs for corporate events, professional development, communications tools and corporate policies and benefits

    Serve as an outstanding personal and professional example of Agios' culture and values

    Report to and collaborate closely with the Director, Corporate Communications


    What you bring:
    Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience in internal, external or corporate communications

    Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communications skills

    An understanding of how to navigate a complex, matrixed environment with professionalism, and strong ability build meaningful relationships to influence, align and facilitate collaboration across functional areas

    Proven track record of working through change management programs, navigating culture building and change

    Experience in working independently, strategically problem solving, proactively bringing new ideas to the table and anticipating project needs

    Healthy ability to balance long- and short-term projects in fast-paced environment, flexibility to adapt with evolving situations

    A highly motivated, team player attitude

    Experience in successfully mining for and authoring content for internal and external channels, creating exciting programming and executing corporate events

    Creative video and/or graphics experience a plus


    Work Location:

    Location Specific – Hybrid:
    This role requires some work onsite at our Cambridge Headquarters as needed. Hybrid schedules vary but are generally less than 3 days per week onsite. Regular conversations with manager are encouraged to ensure alignment on in-person presence/expectations.

    Employees in this role are expected to live within a commutable distance to the office and some travel may be required commensurate to the above job description and/or to attend team meetings and other company events.
