Leo Pedrelli

After studying Communications and Journalism at UMass Amherst, I've learned a number of skills in writing, research, and education. I applied those skills in working at VisionSpring Inc; creating original content to be posted on the company website and social media pages, researching diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices, and distilling information into approachable and easy-to-read pieces. I am a self-starter with a passion for contributing, and I am eager to get started on my next project. 

VisionSpring is a diversity, equity, and inclusion company dedicated to providing training and

education on how and why to diversify your workforce. The company is heavily active in a quickly

developing industry; creating content and programs for companies of any size and structure to

utilize. VisionSpring has individual membership offerings as well as business-to-business

creations, spreading themselves across a multitude of channels. I have created a substantial

amount of content for the VisionSpring Inc LinkedIn site, which can be found here:

• Helped to produce a rich stream of content through original contributions, editing of

other posts, and the creation of long-form presentations

• Designed, created, and rolled out a long-term social media strategy to make new content

appealing, accessible, and consistently available.

• Tracked growth of social media pages and website to determine how to invest in the

growth of VisionSpring as a company and community

• Ensured constant communication with VisionSpring service members and customers

through email blasts, newsletters, and social media interaction

• Coordinated with C-Level management on multiple projects to ensure punctual completion

and alignment with company standards.

I studied Communications and Journalism at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for four years. In Communications classes I learned about the hidden meanings in how we communicate with one another, the best ways to present information, and how to write and speak in a way that is accessible to a wide pool of audiences. With journalism, I learned the best research methods and ways to distill valuable information from in-depth sources. My education at UMass not only provided me with a number of useful industry skills but a passion for learning new skills and understanding communication.
