Ensure product quality meets or exceeds company standards by implementing quality control measures and conducting regular inspections. Supervise and mentor production staff, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain a high-performing team. Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvements within the production department. Monitor inventory levels, track production metrics, and collaborate with teams to optimize inventory turnover.Uphold safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees, actively promoting a culture of safety.
Work closely with other departments, including maintenance, engineering, and quality assurance, to achieve production goals and resolve operational issues. Prepare and analyze production reports, performance metrics, and KPIs to assess production efficiency and identify areas for improvement.Assistant Production Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as industrial engineering, manufacturing management, or business administration. Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the metals industry or similar. Strong understanding of production processes, manufacturing principles, and quality management systems. Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage a diverse workforce. Proven track record in developing and implementing maintenance programs and strategies. Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles. Problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions and implement solutions. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
