    System Support Technicians - 1st and 2nd Shift

    Wayne, NJ. Direct Hire position

    Responsibilities:

    · Perform all duties following organization SOPs and cGMPs in accordance with CFR 21, Part 11, 210 & 211.

    ·Must be able to think critically to solve problems so that operational efficiencies are maximized and perform detail-oriented analysis to create complex instructions that can be followed.

    ·Oversee the development, implementation & support of all upgrades and process improvements of machine and process control systems with all required qualification and training documentation for all staff levels.

    ·Project manage the development, implementation and operation of serialized lines, working closely with all departments to ensure all processes meet customer expectations and are compliant with industry requirements.

    ·Develop and implement required SOPs, change controls, validations, equipment evaluations, engineering studies, engineering directives to support new processes and identify and update all impacted procedures and documents.

    ·Execute programming, installation and troubleshooting of PLC programs, operator interfaces, stepper and servo motors and controllers, electrical systems and associated field devices in regard to packaging and facilities systems.

    · Execute installation and support of bar code scanners, vision systems and related electronic equipment for machine & automation projects, including all supporting documentation.

    · Diagnose performance issues on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform revisions or repairs as needed and document all related changes.

    · Work with the operations and technical staff to implement a basic operational efficiency monitoring system (OEMS). Develop and expand the OEMS based on feedback from Operations and Technical Management.

    · Conduct or support investigations of field complaints, deviations or non-conformation events. · Support the development and modification of package layout drawings and dielines, component drawings and dielines, package specific tool drawings, machine drawings and specs sheets and any other applicable drawings, through final approval.

    · Support and interact, as required, with the sales, project management, quality, purchasing, facilities, operations, and the technical group to ensure project status and goals are well communicated and expectations are understood and realized.

    Qualifications:

    · Technical degree training preferred. Optional certifications from the Electronics Technicians Association and Manufacturing Skill Standards Council accepted.

    · 1-4 years related electrical experience required. · Proficiency on Optel TrackSafe systems and Optel CountSafe systems is preferred.

    · Ability to be able to configure, calibrate, install, maintenance, and/or troubleshoot industrial instrumentation and building automation systems.

    · Able to diagnose and repair electrical issues with sensors, relays, servo systems, motor controls, vision systems, PLC's and VFD controlled machinery.

    · Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings.

    · Basic understanding of industrial HMI's including HMI screen development in both the Automation Direct and Rockwell environments. · Basic knowledge of industry related packaging equipment.

    · Troubleshoot machine related mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls.

    · Perform all tasks following industry standards and cGMP's.

    · Must be able to work independently and as part of the team.

    · Effective communication and problem-solving skills required.

    · Proficiency in MS Office suite and software related to the performance of the job.

    · Strong math, computer and electronics skills; ability to work with hand tools and various calibration instruments a plus.

    · Ability to lift and transport up to 30 pounds.

    · Must be able to wear all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and gowning as required.
