    Description

    A consulting firm in New York City is actively seeking a self-motivated and analytical professional to join their staff as their new Private Company Accounting Manager. In this role, the Private Company Accounting Manager will prepare and review financial statements for both the public and private sector including disclosures for audit, review and compilation engagements.

    Responsibilities

    The Private Company Accounting Manager will be responsible for:

    • Monthly financial closings process
    • Assistance with accounting procedures
    • Review of back office and accounting staff work
    • Implementing process improvements
    • Responding to client requests for information
    • Assessment and improvement of financial processes and internal control
    • Developing and maintaining client relationships
    • Completing other tasks as assigned
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree with a focus in Accounting
    • CPA
    • 5+ years of experience
    • 3+ years of public accounting experience
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, and Sage
    • Excellent knowledge of GAAP and Statutory Accounting Principles
    Desired skills
    • Knowledge of Real Estate industry and related accounting software
