Kevin Dolfin

My name is Kevin Dolfin and I am a videographer and video editor working in the NYC Metro Area. I have worked with many brands and individuals to help them tell their stories and create compelling video content that displays the personality and mission of their work. My work focuses on portraying movement and authenticity to paint an identity in a new light, whether it’s through short dynamic social media content or long-form documentary-style interview work.

As a freelancing videographer and video editor for over 5 years in New York City, I have worked with numerous brands to help them tell their stories and create compelling video content that displays the personality and mission of their work. My work focuses on portraying movement and authenticity to paint a brand’s identity in a new light, whether it’s through short dynamic social media content or long-form documentary-style interview work.

All of my photography and video work is done through the Adobe Creative Suite. I am fluent in Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Lightroom, and Logic Pro X/Pro Tools.

During my experience at FITURE US, I was responsible for storyboarding, creative direction, video editing, and sound design for all things public facing. This included ecommerce, social media, CRM, and brand campaigns through the marketing and growth team. My time at FITURE allowed me to lead a team of editors and graphics designers, create and maintain a file storage and archival database, as well as manage and produce shoots for quarterly campaigns. I currently work part-time with Merelis Productions, a company that specializes in filming stage productions, musicals, operas, plays, graduations, and concerts. I work both as a camera operator and an editor. As an editor with Merelis Productions, I am responsible for reviewing raw material, collaborating with the head editor and supervisor, trimming footage, creative construction, video compression, and ensuring all video content meets the expectations set by the client. Collaboration is one of the most crucial elements of a great team and business. Working alongside educated colleagues to create inspiring and effective content is something I look forward to when joining a new team. It provides opportunities to grow, learn, and collectively hone your craft together. I understand my work is not perfect, nor will ever be, but it is thrilling to know there will always be more to learn and improve on.

My passion thrives when I can incorporate audio and visual elements together as well as be surrounded by a talented team of like-minded individuals. I aspire to create content that makes a difference and sheds light on voices and people that are often overlooked. I put growth and curiosity at the forefront of my work and I believe I would be a strong constituent of your team, and even offer a unique perspective to video production. 

I received my Masters degree in Music Pedagogy. My music background guides my work with fluency in audio editing, recording, and sound design. Having experience and education within the teaching field is important for leadership, strong communication, and most importantly, patience!
