    Description

    Job Title: Information Systems Department Director

    Company: Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans



    Kind of Work:

    • Professional, supervisory, administrative, and technical work overseeing the Information Systems Department.
    • Function as the second in command to a Utility Services Administrator in Information Systems.
    • Responsible for planning, assigning, and reviewing work of lower level managers.
    • Provide technical guidance to certain contract positions.
    • Oversee hardware and software purchases for the Board.
    • Produce and monitor operations and capital budgets.
    • Assist in contract management for IT staffing contractor.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field from an accredited university.
    • Six years of professional administrative experience in programming, data analysis, GIS, or computer network administration.
    • At least two years of supervisory experience in information systems work.

    Kind of Examination:

    • A rating of training and experience, weighted 100%.
    • Credit given for experience gained within the last ten years.
