Job DescriptionSVS Group is seeking a dynamic Process Engineer for our esteemed client located in Auburn, CA
Responsibilities:
Principal Purpose of Position: Works with Engineering and Production personnel to investigate, develop, and implement improved methods and processes for manufacturing.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Work with Customers, Vendors, and Production to develop and maintain robust production processes.
Document processes through clear and specific work instructions.
Review changes to drawings and specifications.
Lead product and process development.
Participate in the development and testing of new products, applying engineering knowledge.
Design, document, and implement new tools, fixtures, and production aids.- Train operators on new and existing processes and machines.
Provide technical assistance to various departments and processes.
Facilitate team-based problem-solving activities.
Conduct research and gather data to support continuous improvement and variation reduction.
Demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement philosophy.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Specialties:
BS degree in Materials Science, Ceramics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or 5+ years' experience working with ceramic materials.
Project Management certification desirable.
Experience:
2+ years in a manufacturing environment, including experience in metallization, materials science, and/or assembly.
Ceramics machining experience desirable.
**Knowledge/Abilities/Skills:**
Strong communication skills (oral, written, listening).
Proficiency in Solidworks.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing/six-sigma desired.
Proficiency in ASME Y14.5 geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Familiarity with metrology and instruments.
Understanding of ceramic metallization, plating, and brazing processes.
Knowledge of MasterCAM programming desirable.
Familiarity with machining practices and processes.
Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
Strong analytical abilities.
Ability to work under changing priorities and deadlines.
Comfortable working in a production-oriented environment.

Successful completion of pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol testing, and criminal background investigation required following the offer of employment.
Salary: $67,050 to $83,000 Annual DOE
Hours: 7:30 AM to 4 PM (Day Shift)
