    Description


    Valkyrie Enterprises has need for a Configuration Management Specialist III who will be key in providing technical support to NAVWAR.


    Located in San Diego, CAJob Description:

    Responsible for configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory, documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.

    Work closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products throughout the entire life cycle.

    Provide change management and product configuration management guidance.


    Qualifications:
    Must have a bachelors degree from an accredited college/university and at least 6 years in related experience.

    Must have at least 6 years experience in Configuration Management and Tactical Data link Operations and combined ten years experience in two or more of the following areas:

    Configuration ManagementTactical Data Link OperationsThorough understanding of the Data Link Change Proposal (DLCP) ProcessThorough understanding of the NATO STANAG 4175 and 5516Managing cross functional teamsIndependent project executionAnalytical and Problem Solving related to conflicting requirementsTopVue or similar data management tools, i.

    Qualifications:
    Prefer Master of Business Administration.
    Defense Acquisition University Configuration Management training preferred.
    Prefer Institute of Configuration Management training.
    Prefer Proficient in MS Office applications.
    Prefer Able to process concurrent tasks and work with other team members to accomplish larger or complex tasks.
    Knowledge of Department of the Navy Configuration Management processes preferred.
    Prefer Plans, organizes, completes, and presents assessments of Configuration Management concepts, analyses, studies and procedures.
    Served as the senior specialist point of contact and lead business authority for all Configuration Management preferred.


    Security Requirements:
    Must have an Active Top Secret DoD Secret security clearance and the ability to maintain one

    Travel Requirements:

    Occasional travel- less than 10%If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.

    Physical Requirements:

    Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
    Required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms.
    Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    Require moving objects up to 50 pounds.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
