- Utilize and provide to management meaningful and timely reports using key performance indicators to aid in managing the health of the project.
- Ability to read, understand, interpret, drawings and specifications, provide input, and analyze data.
- Develop, maintain, and update project documentation.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to the job site.
- Lead and direct daily activities of Foremen, Operators and Laborers
- Investigate complaints and take appropriate action to correct deficiencies.
- Work with contractors to complete projects within the given budget and timeframe.
- Assist with Estimating
- Communicate with customers, vendors, employees, and public agencies.
- Forecasting month and year for each project and program
- End of month explanations for variances in the forecast to actuals
- Remove obstacles and empower Operations to be successful.
- Constantly managing and monitoring project progress, risk, and the quality of the customer experience
- Manage project level activities which include but are not limited to critical path monitoring/alignment, procurement, resource loading/forecasting/conflict resolution and critical path risk identification/mitigation.
- Proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they become problems.
- Lead efforts to gather all project level status to report on project status to all stakeholders.
- Responsible for tracking change impact and delay impact
- Forecast and manage materials to facilitate the scheduled work on time and within budget.
- 3-5 years experience in telecommunications construction management
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of telecommunications construction projects, timelines, and requirements.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating multi-site construction.
- Ability to create and maintain a positive and safe work environment.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to develop and train and direct team to meet goals with excellence in customer service. No shortcuts.
- Solid communication skills
- Self-motivated, accountable with excellent time management skills
- Extensive knowledge of safety regulations.
- Certified in OSHA Competent Person, trench and excavation, confined space, OSHA 10-hour.
- Computer proficiency with Google, Excel, Word, and experience using electronic devices including iPhone and iPad.
- Working outdoors is subject to inclement weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 lbs.
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Sitting for periods of time during travel to jobsites.
- Frequent need to stand, stoop, walk, sit, work in close proximity to vehicular traffic.
