    Description

    The Senior Ride Project Engineer leads a Ride Engineering team, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery of ride systems. They oversee all aspects of design & development, collaborating with diverse teams and adapting to evolving scopes and requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the Ride Studio representative on the project core team, providing accurate information
    • Work with Creative directors to translate high-level requirements into Creative intent
    • Collaborate with partners to integrate requirements and define interfaces
    • Proactively secure resources, mitigate risks, and drive innovative design concepts
    • Define and manage project assignments, negotiate stakeholder needs, and make informed decisions
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, lead design reviews, and manage procurement
    • Author design strategies, cost estimates, and system deliverables
    • Oversee vendor contracts, protect intellectual property, and manage design activities
    • Lead installation, testing, and commissioning efforts
    • Conduct field testing and validation for ride systems
    • Participate in strategic initiatives and represent Ride Studio interests

    Basic Qualifications

    • Minimum of five years of engineering experience
    • Proven leadership in technical team management
    • Project and vendor management skills
    • Effective communication and collaboration abilities
    • Experience in negotiation, vendor management, and technical issue resolution
    • Hands-on experience in equipment fabrication, installation, and testing
    • Expertise in life safety design and outside vendor management
    • Experience with Capitalized Project Delivery and system safety design

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Prior experience in safety-related ride systems
    • Technical skills in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Control Systems
    • Contract management proficiency and knowledge of industry standards
    • Familiarity with new technology and manufacturing processes
    • Strong hardware knowledge and field installation experience
    • Ability to lead high-value scope projects and willingness to travel internationally
    • Professional Engineering license

    Required Education

    • Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering field
