- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a related field, plus two (2) years of experience in engineering.

- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Engineering or in a field related to the job, plus four (4) years of engineering experience acquired before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Texas; or if currently licensed in another state, must have the ability to obtain a Texas P.E. license within six (6) months of employment.
- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in a field related to engineering, plus six (6) years of experience in engineering acquired before and/or after licensing as a professional engineer.

- Graduate Engineer B: $35.04 to $44.67 per hour
- Engineer A: $38.97 to $50.67 per hour
- Engineer B: $41.70 to $54.21 per hour

- Experience in reviewing design submittals and construction documents for public infrastructure improvement projects.

- Demonstrated abilities in consensus building, negotiation and collaboration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel to multiple work locations
- Ability to work outside of normal business hours to support emergency operations
