Responsibilities Join Arcfield and play a vital role in translating real-world requirements into technical solutions, contributing significantly to customer-centric engineering endeavors in the rapidly evolving on-orbit space environment. At Arcfield, you can be part of engineering the Space Force's top-priority space initiatives. As an essential part of the team, you will be involved in developing Mission Threads, Concepts of Operations (CONOPs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), as well as digital mission and system models. Your role will also include researching new requirements, technologies, and threats, employing cutting-edge engineering methodologies and tools to craft innovative solutions for future challenges. Be part of our team and help address our nation's most complex challenges with innovation. - Be a recognized expert responsible for designing, researching, and developing advanced applications that lead to fresh solutions and innovations for the U.S. Space Force. - Take the lead in capturing new business opportunities through your technical expertise and capability presentations. - Guide the design of products, solutions, and processes related to applications. - Lead impact and system analysis based on technical and mission requirements. - Supervise a team of designers and writers in supporting implementation. - Oversee the development of test architectures and technology validation strategies, fostering collaboration and relationships with technical teams and integration efforts on projects and programs. - Lead and contribute to technical Centers of Excellence (CoE), collaborating with other technical teams to exchange knowledge, define architecture standards, guidelines, reference architecture, systems Technology Roadmap, and other assigned duties and responsibilities. Qualifications Required: - BS 12-15, MS 10-13, PhD 10+ - 12+ years of extensive experience in large-scale space mission and systems engineering and integration within DoD and IC space programs. - 6+ years of experience in developing operational requirements, CONOPS, architectures, use cases, technical specifications, ICDs, and integration plans and roadmaps for space and ground systems. - Experience in supporting or conducting space system Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and System Verification Reviews (SVRs). - Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE. - Ability to communicate effectively and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC), and partner contractors to achieve program objectives. - Highly motivated, with a dynamic work ethic and a strong commitment to contributing to the DoD mission. - Must hold and maintain a Top Secret / SCI clearance. - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science. Desired: - Experience in systems engineering, integration, and testing of space-based remote sensing systems. - Proficiency in using a digital engineering approach to analyze and develop system definitions and technical baselines. - Familiarity with the OPIR mission, remote sensing payloads, communication and networking, data processing, exploitation and dissemination, space system operations and tasking, mission planning, or space-ground integration. - Understanding of DoD processes and procedures. - Knowledge of hardware and software development processes and Agile methods. - TS/SCI clearance. - Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science. - INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certifications, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Certifications. Equal Pay Act This represents the expected compensation range for this position. Various factors may influence the final salary/hourly rate, including Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies aligned with the role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education, certifications, as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
