Job Description

This candidate will be supporting a large telecommunications and utilities company based in Birmingham, AL. They will work on the RAN Performance Engineering team, and work on a team of 6 other people. They primarily will work alongside the RAN Architect that works onsite in their downtown location. They will be responsible for RAN performance analytics and would ideally be able to create and build dashboards to identify how their RAN performance fits in the bigger picture. An ideal candidate would also have some knowledge of networking and basic coding skills.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience with LTE/UMTS/CDMA/EvDO wireless data technologies (ideally Ericsson)

Experience with OSS platform (Ericsson) for parameter retrieval/changes, alarm monitoring, and performance analysis

Experience with VoLTE implementation and its associated parameters and settings

Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills required Bachelors degree in Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunications with technical training

Basic programming skills, such as experience with Visual Basic, in order to develop database queries that convert raw statistics into useful information.

AMOS Scripting to support network maintenance, network expansion, layer management and IRAT configurations. null
