    Job Description

    As part of our

    GRC Business Unit

    this

    Electrical Engineer

    will report directly to the Engineering Manager.

    They will be responsible for designing, documenting, building, and tests electrical assemblies and circuits for use in electromechanical downhole tools under high temperature and in surface equipment for power and communication with the downhole tools.

    Qualifications

    BS in electrical engineering or related field. MS in electrical engineering is a plus.
    Minimum of 5 years of experience designing electronic circuitry.

    Experience in Sustaining engineering:
    component replacement for obsolescence, supplier selection, second sourcing.
    Expertise in electrical testing, test set up, test design and automation.
    Superior analytical reasoning and troubleshooting skills.
    Strong oral and written communication skills.
    Experience in design for downhole Oil and Gas.
    Experience developing power systems and/or electromagnetic components (power supplies, transformers, inductors, filters, electric motors).
    Familiarity with electronics, microcontrollers and embedded programing.

    Experience with the design of electronic systems including proficiency in the use of software for simulation (PSpice, Multisim, LTSpice...) and electrical drafting (Altium, PADS, Mentor Xpedition...)


    Experience with VSD/VFD, high power motors.
