Description
Provides operational oversight of the assigned basic science research laboratory. Ensures the environment and equipment are safe, compliant and effective.Manages all aspects of clinical research trial(s) coordination including activities involved in the planning, conduct and completion of a clinical trial(s) at multiple sites with particular focus on data management.
ResponsibilitiesWorks closely with individual Principal Investigators (PIs) and management to ensure effective day-to-day workflow of basic science research laboratories assigned.
Assessment of the school's early clinical trial endeavors: number of early clinical trials, time to activation, accrual rate, number of investigator-initiated trials (IIT) versus Industry sponsored publications associated trials.
Understand roadblocks associated with the activation of early clinical trials and patient accrual.Develop road maps together with stake holders on the process.
Interface with industry to provide updates on clinical trial progress.
Generates dashboard to follow in real time progression of clinical trials.
Establishes timeline and target dates for completion of study milestones in collaboration with trial leadership. Utilizes data reports and site metrics to deliver milestones on time and budget.
In collaboration with team members, monitors clinical trial sites, all clinical studies, and the documentation of all findings, outcomes, and agreements.
Contributes to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work practices, and clinical guidelines.Trains and collaborate with research staff on specific clinical trials research needs.
Responsible for compliance to all school, local, state and federal Regulations as it relates to clinical trials.
Other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree, preferably in biology, chemistry or animal science, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
3-5 years of related research and administration experience required.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written form
Aptitude for quick learning and multi-tasking is critical

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.
