    Job Description

Clinical Laboratory Manager – Oral Microbiome Diagnostic Clinical Testing – Integral Dental, Inc

We are a clinical diagnostic startup seeking a Laboratory Manager to lead NGS Wet Lab operations for OraclePI – our AI-Enhanced Oral Microbiome Test to Diagnose Peri-Implant Disease.

The company: Integral Dental is a fast-growing startup with the goal to advance the landscape of oral health with transformative diagnostic solutions. By integrating leading-edge microbial metagenomics and AI, we extract clear, actionable, and conclusive insights from the oral microbiome. Our mission is to empower clinicians with precise, proactive, and cutting-edge innovations that enable early and accurate disease detection, streamline the care management process, and ultimately enhance patient outcomes.

The role: We are hiring a Clinical Manager to oversee our laboratory's comprehensive operations, which includes sample intake/inspection, semi-automated magnetic bead-based DNA extraction, 16S library preparation via robotic liquid handler, and metagenomic sequencing using the Illumina NextSeq1000 platform. With the upcoming launch our first product, OraclePI, your management will ensure that as we scale and deliver innovative products to the market, our workflows are efficient, compliant, and aligned with our mission to deliver transformative diagnostic solutions.

This role requires a manager experienced in clinical laboratory operations, enthusiastic about mentoring, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, dynamic start-up environment. With at least five years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting and a strong grasp of NGS "wet lab" methodologies and theory, you will foster an environment that values meticulous attention to detail and continuous professional growth. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, quality-oriented, and with a practical understanding of day-to-day direct and indirect clinical laboratory operations in a CLIA-regulated environment. Your expertise will contribute significantly to our efforts in enhancing patient outcomes through delivering reliable, advanced dental health diagnostics.

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the "ground floor" of a company that stands at the intersection of technology and healthcare, providing proactive and precise tools that enhance patient outcomes. If all that sounds good, we invite you to apply and look forward to meeting you soon.

    • Leadership and Team Management: Proven ability to lead and mentor laboratory staff, ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
