    About The Role

    The Human Resource Business Partner Operations Director for the Technology Segment in North America supports the segment leadership and the Vice President of Segment Human Resources in leading and managing all people aspects of the segment's human capital business operations.As such, this role provides expert management and leadership as well as strategic guidance over key HR functional areas including Compensation, Talent Planning, Talent Development & Performance Management.This position coordinates with leaders of Corporate HR Centers of Excellence (COE) groups in managing their areas of functional HR responsibility as well in the design and implementation of people-related initiatives and action plans within the Technology business.This role serves the dual purpose of being the segment's expert in designated HR functional areas as well as serving to guide business leaders globally around employee relations, overall HR support and delivery and implementation of HR strategy.

    What You'll Do

    Operations

    • Co-lead the segment's Performance and Compensation Management efforts in partnership with global leaders and Corporate Compensation team within the established comp philosophy for the Technology segment.
    • Partner with the Corporate Compensation team and Global leaders in analyzing market data and other relevant information to determine appropriate market salary and total compensation ranges.
    • Coach and supervise North America HR Manager and UK HR Senior Manager.
    • Partner with and influence leaders in making compensation recommendations and decisions including ensuring the comp solution best matches the situation and desired outcome.
    • Partner with leaders in determining appropriate increases, promotions and bonuses for staff.
    • Responsible for leading the segment's efforts to ensure consistency and equity in titles and compensation as new hires, promotions and adjustments are identified for the organization.
    • Manage the region's Employee Relations efforts working with Leaders and the Employee Relations/Legal team in dealing with employee relations issues and for successful resolution.
    • Partner with Leaders to manage talent assessment and development for future leaders including promotion pipelines and Hi-Potential/Hi-Performer lists.
    • Manage the segment's global Managing Director Promotion process including serving on the Committee, and communicating with candidates and sponsors.
    • Partner with business leaders and the Global Mobility team to identify and manage all issues for staff requiring work visas, permanent residency and international transfers.

    Talent Development

    • Lead the region's Learning & Development efforts in partnership with Leaders and the corporate Talent Development team.
    • Partner with Leaders and the Talent Development team to identify needs and solutions for the development of Technology professionals to be delivered as part of FTI University or as a stand-alone offering.
    • Co-Lead the segment's Performance Management efforts in partnership with Tech leaders and coaches.
    • Partner with segment leadership to ensure an equitable and balanced review process and advise coaches and managers on effective coaching conversations.
    • Co-lead the segment's strategic focus on development, coaching & mentoring.

    Diversity Efforts

    • Co-lead the US diversity efforts in partnership with Leaders and the corporate DIB team.
    • Assist in overseeing the diverse recruiting for both early talent and experienced roles partnering with corporate recruiting team and local leaders.

    What You Will Need To Succeed

    Basic Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in human resources or a related field.
    • 10+ years post graduate professional experience in Human Resources.
    • Ability to travel to clients and FTI office(s)asneeded.
    • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; this position does not provide visa sponsorship.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • HR generalist experience with in-depth knowledge and experience leading comp and HR administration, employee relations and talent development.
    • Excellent relationship builder with a high level of credibility and the ability to guide and influence business leaders.
    • Demonstrated foundation of knowledge, experience, thoughtfulness and the ability to understand and help solve complex people-related business challenges.
    • Ability to strike appropriate balance between business and employee advocacy.
    • Capable of thinking strategically about the business and the HR strategy necessary to achieve desired business and employee outcomes.
    • Practiced in synthesizing trends and insights from large structured data sets and effectively communicate insights to leadership.
    • Big picture thinker with the ability to identify logical opportunities for improvement and the ability to support effective change management.
    • HR Professional certification, or advanced degree preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including advanced business writing ability
    • Proficiency in use of standard company software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
    • Excellent organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks.
