    The Data Engineer will report to the Applications/Development & Integrations Manager and will have in their scope the design, development, and support of Group14's data ecosystem, spanning operational, informational, and financial systems. They will work closely with business unit leadership, Infosec, GRC, and others, empowering informed decision-making across the enterprise.

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

    -Collaborating with leaders and stakeholders on business requirements, functionalities, and outcomes.

    -Designing and building core data ecosystem and platform components - warehouse(s), pipelines, base models, etc.

    -Working with data & system owners to build connections/integrations, privacy and security controls, etc.

    -Ensuring ongoing compliance and conformity of systems in scope to relevant regulations and standards, e.g. SOX, NIST, ISO27001.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

    -Experience building data ecosystems from scratch, bringing together disparate systems into a single data platform.

    -Demonstrated ability to translate business processes and outcomes into requirements, designs, and systems.

    -Strong communication skills, able to translate technical jargon and functionality into clear narratives for business leaders.

    -Experience in high growth environments, balancing urgencies today with stability tomorrow.

    -Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards, e.g. NIST 800-53, SOX, IFRS.

    OTHER QUALITIES WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:

    -Experience working with ERP platforms (e.g. SAP) and MES platforms (e.g. Aveva PI).

    -Familiarity with leading data tools like Snowflake, Tableau, dbt, Fivetran.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
