**Warehouse Manager**
Job Description:
Primarily responsible for managing and directing a staff of approximately 100 people in the day to day operations of a large distribution warehouse including ordering, receiving, processing, recording and distributing supplies and materials. Supervises and trains warehouse personnel and delivery drivers while establishing, developing and maintaining effective working relationship with customers, suppliers, vendors and staff. Responsible for the management of the warehouse and administrative functions, the key financial measurements of the branch, and for assuring that such activities are conducted in accordance with the policies and practices of the company and in a manner that achieves customer satisfaction and maximizes branch productivity and profitability. Also responsible for evaluating and identifying process improvements to enhance the overall operation of the branch. Manages the movement of products into and out of inventory.
The position would also end up overseeing the move to our new 240,000 warehouse that is currently being built. We will be moving to our brand new warehouse, located at 7929 North Sam Houston Parkway West Houston, TX 77064, in early 2022.
Requirements:
High School education or its equivalent. Some post-secondary education preferred. Minimum five (5) years experience in the electrical distribution industry. Thorough knowledge of the electrical distribution industry. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of company employees, customers, suppliers and vendors. Strong interpersonal and supervisory skills required. Customer and vendor relationship building and maintenance skills. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats. Leadership skills and the ability to plan and schedule the work of others. Proficiency in general personal computer application, as well as in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel.
