ARM Group is looking for a
Warehouse Manager for one of its multinational clients in
North Houston, TX.

#Relocation Provided

FUNCTION:
Manage the dock to stock and stock-to-dock activities of the company Parts Warehouse. Interact with all departments within the Company to ensure a high level of satisfaction for internal and external customers.

The role will be responsible for all the activities from receiving the material, repacking, putting away, and Order picking to shipping the parts to the dealer network.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


General Responsibilities:


  • Led team of shopfloor team to meet the business goals and objectives.
  • Responsible for deploying Safety Processes and Procedures to bring in worldclass Safety behavior in the warehouse operation.
  • Conducting Daily Work Management meetings with the team
  • Evaluating the Goals accomplishment and closing any gaps.
  • Thorough experience in lean management: 5S, Visual Management, Kaizen, and Value stream mapping. Ability to create lean deployment and improvement plans for the warehouse.
  • Ability to address daytoday employee questions and concerns
  • Improve employee engagement by promoting the company's core principles of Collaboration, Agile, and Bold.
  • Create high accountability among the team to meet the quality and velocity objectives.
  • Thorough knowledge of SAP Warehouse Management
  • Responsible for EndtoEnd Warehouse Operation & Cost Management
  • Work with HR on Manpower Requirements.

Receiving (Job Specific)

  • Forecasting the receiving department's workload week by week
  • Establish a work plan for effective receiving of materials.
  • Maintain the receiving of material to repack within 48 hours from the receipt.
  • Deploy Safety general requirements and mobile equipment safety in the receiving department.
  • Address any packaging issues or opportunities with the buying department.
  • Report out Receiving Metrics daily.
  • Deploying 5S and Material flow
- in the receiving area.


Repacking (Job Specific)

  • Monitoring Daily Workload on Repacking.
  • Working with the Buying Team to reduce the number of repacking.
  • Improve productivity of repacking.
  • Design and Develop Repacking Department Metrics
  • Deploy Safety general requirements and mobile equipment safety
  • Warehouse 5S, Kaizen Continuous Improvement and Value Stream mapping

Put Away (Job Specific)

  • Daily Work Management Putaway team
  • Design and Develop warehouse Putaway operational metrics
  • Establish Min
- a Max for each Part Number

  • Establish Primary Location adherence metrics
  • Design and Develop metrics to track and monitor the aging of Inventory
  • Establish a location strategy for each part or group of parts
  • Maintenance of Parts Carousel
  • Uptime
  • Deploy Safety general requirements and mobile equipment safety
  • Warehouse 5S, Kaizen Continuous Improvement and Value Stream mapping

Order Picking

  • Establish a mechanism to improve the route efficiency
  • Create a clean pick route map and route density
  • Work with the Warehouse team to have an efficient location strategy for highusage parts
  • Daily Workload and Order Fill Rate

Wood Shop

  • Tracking and Monitoring Spend on the wood shop and packaging material
  • Deploy Safety general requirements.

Inventory Management

  • Tracking and Monitor Inventory Accuracy for the Parts Department
  • Tracking Monitor Obsolescence and Aged Inventory
  • Report Inventory Discrepancies

Parts Depart S&OP

  • Establish a Historical Demand process for the Parts Department
  • Bring Parts Cluster Demand Pattern and Supply Details
  • Work with the Buying team on the Parts discontinuation process.
  • Work with the Engineering Department on new parts introduction for parts department.

Dealer Parts Return Process:


  • Establish a clear process for the Dealer parts return process.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • Minimum 7+ years of parts warehousing experience in the industrial or agricultural equipment industry
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a business management degree program or a related field.
  • Management or team leader experience
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language is required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to develop written reports and to provide instruction and guidance to team members.
  • Ability to remain tactful in challenging and argumentative situations.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Programs, (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE DESIRED:


  • Knowledge of SAP system.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical manuals, parts manuals, etc.
