The
Warehouse Operations Manager will ensure the warehouse complies with the company's policies and vision.

The incumbent will oversee receiving and maintenance operations while setting up the layout to ensure efficient space utilization throughout the facility.

You will work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:00pm, with flexibility due to operational needs.

Responsibilities:


Manages all activities related to warehousing operations, ensuring that Company objectives for efficiency, economy, quality, and productivity are met or exceeded.


  • Coordinate all dock activity, assign warehouse employees to appropriate tasks, and monitor progress; assist warehouse crew as required to complete tasks.
  • Work closely with inventory control department to coordinate product movement and warehouse bin locations, bulk stock areas, etc.
  • Experience in setting up, preparing, and conducting a physical inventory and weekly cycle counts.
  • Wireless warehouse management experience required as we seek to implement this system in the foreseeable future.
  • Monitoring of fleet and all warehouse equipment as well as warehouse supplies
  • Understand and maintain all fleet and equipment maintenance through current vendors.
  • Develop a spirit of cooperation and understanding among work groups, exemplified in leading by example.
  • Supervise, instruct, and correctively discipline warehouse employees.
  • Ability to take charge of situations handling with tact and authority along with the ability to oversee and counsel warehouse staff in written and verbal terms.
  • Recruitment: Review resumes, hire, and conduct interviews for staff on various shifts.
  • Review warehouse expenses and procedures to make recommendations for improvements to cost and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety policies in addition to suggesting new policies if needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse facility of 75,000 square feet or more, with over 3000 items.
  • Perform forklift safety training for new employees as well as maintain records to make sure current employees' training is kept up to date.
  • Experience with fire, OSHA, and building inspections, in addition to following daily, weekly, and monthly internal safety inspections.
  • PC literate in Microsoft Office products.
