Job Description

Information Systems (IS) Administrator's role is responsible for the implementation, maintenance, optimization, and support of a scalable and dynamic IT infrastructure to enable the continued success of a wireless communication component engineering company.

The IS Administrator must be willing and capable of working independently, maintaining the organization's daily operations as well as identifying and establishing IS best practices and procedures.

This includes the team's individual computing support, network infrastructure, high power computing resources, telephony services, and hosted servers with associated services.

Responsibilities:
Provide daily IT service and support to different departments of the organization.
Support and manage desktop and laptop users, various internal servers, and a data center.
Maintain a stable and reliable information technology infrastructure to maximize system uptime.

Protect data integrity and system security, including data back-up and record storage, system documentation, and a detailed disaster recovery plan.

Contribute to continuous improvement effort by documenting processes and procedures, eliminating non-value added activities.
Work in concert with IS team members from parent and sister companies.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
BS in Information Technology or related field preferred
Knowledge of Linux and Windows server/desktop operating systems is required.
Working experience with Azure eco system is required.
Knowledge of Citrix XenServer and VMware virtualization is required.
Utilizing SAN storage array is required.

Strong understanding of network services and protocols like IPv4/IPv6, routers, switches, PoE, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, Active Directory, VoIP, SIP, IAX2, TFTP, RS232, IPSec/SSL/TLS VPN required.

Knowledge of Juniper routers is a plus.
Knowledge of Asterisk/FreePBX VoIP system a plus
Knowledge of business applications like Microsoft Office 365, QuickBooks, Adobe Acrobat, BackupExec
Understanding engineering applications like SolidWorks, HFSS, Microwave Office, Flex PDE is a plus.
The ability to multitask and maintain focus on priorities is a must.
Good organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Self-motivated and results oriented.
