Summary

The ideal candidate will be able to supervise IT staff and provide technical support required to oversee IT systems and functions, ensuring the strategic plan, mission, vision, and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, and work plans, and perform high level analysis of information technology (hardware and software),and implementation of information systems to meet organizational requirements.

Duties

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as Supervisory IT Specialist. Typical assignments include:

Assisting in the operations and maintenance, planning, managing, directing, and coordinating all functional areas related to information center management, network data connectivity, systems administration management, and telecommunications management.

Receiving requests for support of the Regional Office(s) to include the; Regional Response Coordination Center (RRCC), Disasters Response Operations, Disaster Recovery Operations, Logistics, Joint Field Offices (JFO's), and other departments, components, and Other Federal Agencies (OFA'S), processes them through the approval cycles in coordination with the IT Services Branch Chief and or his designee.

Coordinating directly between the Regional IT Branch Chief and designated IT Coordinators (ITC' s), assigned as the IT Lead for each JFO IT Operations in their specific theater of operation.

Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
