Our philosophy is based on the belief that long-term investment success can be achieved through narrowly focused and rigorous fundamental research, disciplined portfolio management, and the alignment of incentives between manager and client.
Job Overview:
The Office Manager/Operations Assistant position is a dynamic role that allows the ability to learn and support multiple areas of the business. The role has two primary functions - operational work and administrative work. Operational tasks account for roughly 60-70 percent of the workload while administrative tasks account for the remaining 30-40 percent. Operational tasks cover multiple business functions including compliance reporting, portfolio accounting, and data analysis while administrative tasks cover catering and grocery orders, calendar management, mail/package delivery, and other miscellaneous office tasks. Both the operational and administrative work is largely independent and the ideal candidate is someone who is a self-starter and can efficiently prioritize a list of tasks.
Responsibilities:
· Ensure the office runs smoothly by performing miscellaneous office tasks including managing grocery and office supply orders, maintaining the meeting calendar, and answering and directing phone calls
· Communicate with property management regarding any maintenance requests, building projects, or other building-wide announcements
· Assist VP of Finance with various portfolio accounting tasks such as position and cash reconciliations and income and expense allocations
· Work with management to compile and edit quarterly investor update presentation in PowerPoint
· Use Excel and Bloomberg to update, summarize, and interpret various data reports covering a variety of consumer and macroeconomic trends
· Maintain Firm's coverage list by communicating with portfolio managers and sending updated lists to all sell-side sales partners
Requirements:
· 4 year college degree
· Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
