    Description

    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and possess analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. This role will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. 100% IN OFFICE, JAX, FL MUST HAVE A BACHELORS DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING

    salary: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
    shift: First
    work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM
    education: Bachelors

    Responsibilities

    Financial Reporting:

    • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
    • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and external stakeholders.
    • Ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
    General Ledger Maintenance:
    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
    • Record journal entries and adjustments as needed.
    • Review and analyze account balances to identify discrepancies and variances.
    Accounts Payable and Receivable:
    • Process accounts payable transactions, including invoice verification, coding, and payments.
    • Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and reconciliations.
    • Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts.
    Bank Reconciliations:
    • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
    • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    Month-end Close Support:
    • Assist in the month-end close process, including preparation of accruals, prepaids, and other adjusting entries.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
    Audit and Compliance:
    • Support external audits by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and accounting standards.
