Description

The Accounting Manager directs and supervises the Daniel accounting department personnel, managing their responsibilities and activities of payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, supplies inventory, fixed asset inventory, reporting, general ledger processing, and financial statement preparation and issue.


  • Supervises accounts payable coordinator, payroll coordinator, staff accountants, Medicaid billing coordinator, and accounting assistant.
  • Ensures accounting functions are completed timely and in accordance with company, and department policies and procedures.
  • Assists the CFO with development of policy and procedures.
  • Reviews monthend financial statement for accuracy of expenses.
  • Inputs financial data for all disciplines within established schedule.
  • Prepares month end journal entries and reports as required by funding sources for Daniel.
  • Ensures reconciliation of accounts is completed accurately and timely.
  • Monitors revenues and expenses and reports budget variances to CFO in a timely manner.
  • Closes monthly general ledger and produces financial statements including summary statement.
  • Accurately prepares and/or reviews analyses and reports pertaining to accounts receivable, accounts payable, or other accounts requested by the CFO.
  • Assists and interacts with all external audit teams by balancing and analyzing various general ledger accounts and preparing audit schedules as required by the auditors.
  • Involved in the Daniel corporations? budget process.
  • Prior knowledge of SAGE 100 and proficient in Excel and Word.
  • Prepares cost/benefit analyses for proposed projects.
  • Assists program directors with review of financial reports.
  • Provides guidance on Daniel policies as necessary.
  • Meets with funding agencies? representatives.
  • Prepares accurate and timely billings to funding agencies.
  • Familiar with fund and intercompany accounting.
  • Meets with vendors and prepares cost/benefit analyses and makes recommendations to management.

Salary:

- **Salary range is $75,000 to $80,000 - based upon education and experience.
