    As a Senior Critical Environment Electrical Engineer, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform.

    Required Qualifications:
    8 years of technical engineering experienceOR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5 years of technical engineering experienceOR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field AND 3 years of technical engineering experience

    Other Requirements:
    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

    These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

    Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
    This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

    Preferred Qualifications:


    4 years of mission-critical services work/applied learning experience (e.g., high availability assembly/manufacturing/critical infrastructure environments such as data centers, oil and gas refineries, hospitals, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, power utility generation facilities, or related fields).

    Fundamental understanding of the International Mechanical Code and Uniform/International Plumbing CodesProject Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent experience with formal project management of large scale projectsDemonstrated experience with critical datacenter critical enviorment equipmentTechnical knowledge in the operation of facility environments' various heating and cooling systems.

    (Centrifugal chillers, chilled water, adiabatic, thermal storage systems, Computer Room Air Conditioners, Computer Room Air Handling, etc.)Experience with alternative, energy efficient water treatment methodologies and developing chemistry programs for processed water treatmentUnderstanding of maintenance & operation of critical environment backup electrical equipment.

    (Diesel generators, radiator, ventilation systems, fuel storage, distribution, & protection systems, etc.)Knowledge of construction techniques, terminology, and documentation (Ability to interpret blueprints, electrical one-lines, construction drawings etc.)Electrical Engineering IC
    • The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
    S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year.

    There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
