The Role:
We have an immediate opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to assist multi-discipline teams with providing efficient electrical designs and associated services for our projects.
This position is accountable to provide design and associated activities in accordance with all applicable codes and standards, including all company policies and procedures, under the supervision of senior electrical engineers and project managers.
Design of medium and low voltage electric power distribution systems for energy, transportation, water/wastewater, industrial and commercial facilities.
Performing electrical system studies, such as, load flow, voltage drop, short circuit, selective overcurrent device coordination and arc flash.
Preparation of electrical specifications for material and equipment purchase and installation.
Delivery of accurate and thorough designs that will meet industry standards and specifications and meet good engineering practices.
Review of internal and external designs for code compliance, good design practices and constructability.
Resolving site queries and performing site inspections during the design and construction phases of projects.
Maintaining complete project documentation.
Making and maintaining appropriate commitments to project teams and coordinating design activities with project team members.
Maintaining good working relationships with internal groups that support projects.
Maintaining good working relationships with material suppliers, contractors, and any others that affect the quality, schedule, and cost of projects.
The Requirements:
Employment authorization to work in the United States immediately.
A degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
A minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical engineering relative to electric power distribution and/or building electrical systems' design
Knowledge of electrical system design and analysis software such as SKM Power*tools or ETAP
Knowledge of codes and standards such as IEEE and ANSI
Knowledge of AutoCAD
Knowledge of Autodesk Revit MEP is a plus
Candidate must undergo pre-employment drug screening and a criminal background investigation.
