- Responsible for
- Plans production for Carbon, including inhouse manufacturing and outsourced contract manufacturing partners for Carbons hardware and resin business.
- Works closely with the manufacturing team to ensure the planning analysis for processfocused products is accurate.
- Ensures adequate safety stocking levels and goods on hand to meet customer demand, while minimizing E&O risk, shelf life, etc.

- Ensures processes are in place and executed appropriately to deliver best in class inventory control, across multiple different types of inventory locations managed third party warehouse, field service trunk stocks, and Carboncontrolled inventory.
- Supports financial audits with inventory metrics, cycle counts, and wall to wall counts as required.
- Manages thirdparty warehouses, including vendor management, contracts, and audits.
- Ensures all processes are in place and executed thoroughly to ensure orders are shipped on time and infull, whether from a Carboncontrolled location, a third party warehouse or a dropship supplier.
- Works closely with the Sales Operations team and GoToMarket team to ensure customers understand the impact of any Supply Chain changes.
- Manages all returned orders and runs a reverse logistics process.
- Manages all Carbon shipping requirements inbound, outbound, production, R&D, and internal demand.
- Sets strategy and direction for Carbons logistics team, including optimizing shipping lanes, import/export processes, trade compliance and international expansion.
- Monitors and audits freight costs and transportation contracts
- Advises Sales team on best options for shipping balancing time, cost and quality.
- Manages team of people across the above functions, including hiring, growing the team, performance planning, and attrition.
- 12+ years in Supply Chain management, with emphasis on both hardware and chemical products.
- Experience in entering new countries and optimizing the trade and logistics strategies appropriately. Experience shipping dangerous goods and chemical compliance a plus.
- Experience successfully managing a budget and hitting cost goals.
- Experience launching new products and working with suppliers to ensure minimal disruption to the Supply Chain during the transition period.
- Proven track record of excellent communication and presentation skills, able to summarize succinctly to the executive team as well as provide clear direction to individual contributors.
- Experience building and managing teams both onsite and remote in different time zones.
- Experience managing inventory, especially juggling production inventory levels with E&O and shelf life.
- Experience working across a complex supply chain, including inhouse production, external contract manufacturers, and dropship suppliers.
- Knows how to use data to reach decisions and set direction and priorities.

The Director of Planning, Inventory & Logistics is a critical leader within Carbons Supply Chain team. She/he/they reports to the VP of Field & Supply Chain Operations and is part of Carbons Core Operations team.She/he/they is responsible for designing and executing Carbons planning and logistics strategy so that customer orders arrive on-time and in-full, as well as a full reverse logistics process.
Key focus areas in doing so are meeting gross margin targets, optimizing freight costs, trade compliance, inventory valuations, inventory turns, E&O, and cycle count variance.
This role touches many aspects of Carbons business Carbons products run the gamut of Carbon-manufactured and refurbished equipment, 3rd party accessories, production scale resins and core packaged resins (including hazardous goods), and service spare parts and consumables.
