- Being a member of the Business Unit's executive team supporting the VP-General Manager and working with 3 Business GM, Finance, Human Resources partners to develop and execute the strategy.
- Managing and evaluating multiple site operational performance based on a defined set of metrics including safety, product quality, revenue, gross margin, delivery performance, and inventory.
- Being a member of the PSD Operations staff, contributing to the development of long-term operational strategies.
- Establishing programs and projects to drive continuous improvement in performance.
- Developing and implementing strategies to ensure Operations support the strategic initiatives of the business.
- Collaborating with internal and external manufacturing partners to ensure capacity, cost, quality, and delivery requirements are met.
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with global partners - Sales, Customer Service, Supply Chain/Category Management, Quality, etc.
- Being a driving force in terms of continuous technical and organizational improvement.
- Ensuring new product introductions meet efficient manufacturing requirements defined during the product development phase.
- Managing CapEx budget for IMCVC BU.
- Able to foster a culture of challenge, curiosity, a sense of teamwork, charisma, leadership and humility. These are the keys to success for this position.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- BSc/BA degree in relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years as Operations Director/Site Director/Industrial Directoror equivalent position with a global organization
- In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, planning, finance, customer service, etc.)
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics.
- Strong background in fabrication or production of high technology/high precision industrial products
- Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM).
- You are at ease in an international and very demanding environment.
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As the Sr. Director of Operations for the IMCVC Business Unit you will be responsible for 5 main production sites (including one contract manufacturer) along with 4 smaller production sites/calibration centers.You will report to the Vice President Global Operations, Photonics Solutions Division.
You will have 7 direct reports each responsible for one or two of the above plants. You will need to be comfortable operating within a matrixed organization.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary Pay Range: $178, $331,500.00 per year. This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.At MKS, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
Bonus: This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, in an amount to be determined by MKS [or as applicable].
