The Holiday Inn Boston Bunker Hill is looking for a Director of Operations who will be responsible for Directing and Managing the operations of the Hotel to include the operations and service-focused departments - Guest Services, Housekeeping, Night Audit, Bell Staff, Food and Beverage, Engineering - in accordance with standards.

To manage the operations departments, ensuring that service focus is top of mind, product quality standards are maintained, systems and controls are in place and strong communication is prevalent between departments and throughout the hotel.


Pay:
$70,000-$75,000 per year

  • Proficiency and working knowledge of various hotel systems including, but not limited to PMS, Opera, Spa Software Interface, Electronic Door Locking system, Sales & Catering Software, POS, Data Collection system.

What you will be doing

  • Setup accounts in the property management system; consolidate master bills; send out regular billing; post payments; conduct credit meetings, prepare, and distribute credit meeting minutes.
  • Prepare monthly expense tracking; ensure that all purchase requests are updated in the expense tracking system; prepare all invoices with coding and appropriate backup for General Manager review and approval; prepare AP transmittals/profitsword postings.
  • Review and spot check food, beverage, and guest supply monthly inventories; participate in food, beverage and rooms department inventories on a quarterly basis at a minimum; review and check quarterly inventories for china, glass, silver & linen for both the F&B department and the rooms department.
  • Prepare standard monthly accruals for GM review and approval; review General Ledger with appropriate department managers to ensure accuracy; consolidate department managers' P&L narrative comments for General Manager review.
  • Initiate the preparation of the annual budget for operating departments and assist with the completion of the annual budget at the direction of the General Manager.
  • Consolidate revenues and expense predictions from appropriate department managers, adjust based on trend analysis', use independent judgement in making recommendations and prepare 90day forecast for General Manager review and approval; consolidate statistical information from appropriate managers for 14day weekly forecast (i.e. sales, catering, F&B management).

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree in related field (i.

e:
Hotel Management, Business Management, Culinary) preferred.
- (5+) years hands on experience within hotel industry - in a Division Leadership position

  • Profitsword system experience preferred.

Licenses or Certificates

  • TIPs Certification preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification preferred.
