    THE POSITION: Strategy & Operations Manager

    As a Strategy & Operations Manager for The Shade Store, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing strategic projects that contribute to the overall success of our business. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Strategy and Data Insights, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic initiatives that focus on delivering financial and operational impact within the business.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategic Planning and Execution:
    • Be a foundational part of the development and implementation of the company's strategic plan, ensuring alignment with overarching goals and objectives.
    • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities and allocate resources effectively to achieve business objectives.
    Project Management:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
    • Execute and monitor project activities to ensure adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
    • Own end-to-end project management for various cross-functional projects, including but not limited to continuous improvement, operational efficiency initiatives, product development and brand experience.
    • Employ strong multitasking skills to manage simultaneous projects with different focus areas.
    • Collaborate with cross functional departments to gather project requirements and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Communicate effectively across departments to provide project updates, resolve issues, and address concerns.
    • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize disruptions to project timelines and objectives.
    • Track progress on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to showcase tangible results achieved through project implementations.
    Performance Analysis and Optimization:
    • Analyze data and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and operations, identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement.
    • Develop and present reports and presentations to senior leadership, summarizing findings, insights, and recommendations for action.
    • Implement performance management frameworks and processes to monitor progress and drive accountability across the organization.
    WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field
    • 2+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or similar roles within the retail industry.
    • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and modeling. Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, SQL or Power BI is a plus.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear and actionable insights.
    • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Excellent project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking abilities, with a demonstrated track record of driving business results.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
    THE SHADE STORE offer is contingent upon:
    • Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States for The Shade Store, which will be confirmed by E-Verify within three business days of your hire date
    The base salary range for this role is $100,000 $120,000 commensurate with experience.
