For analytics as a service, key outcomes will focus on client-facing delivery of real estate analytics focused on lease administration, transaction management, and portfolio utilization and optimization.
For pursuit underwriting, primary deliverables are timely delivery of a high volume of underwriting models forecasting expected revenue and client rebates for CBRE's A&T sales team.
Underpinning both workstreams is a product development team focused on A&T data governance, predictive models, and dynamic dashboards. This director role will lead this team to ensure product development aligns with collaborator and client needs.The director position will be responsible for overseeing all project work by a small team of analysts and data scientists, implementing the proper technical solution, and ensuring completion of work you're doing in a timely manner.
The role will collaborate with senior management to ensure overall project progress and partner satisfaction.The director works closely with our clients, the analytics team, and the data warehouse technical team to create our business intelligence solution:
automate data collection from source operational systems, aggregate and standardize the information in a data warehouse, create predictive models, and develop Tableau dashboards that demonstrate the warehouse to generate meaningful insights and benchmarks.
In addition to acting in a supervisory capacity, the Business Analytics Director position may be responsible for actual execution of project work, as well.
For these projects, the director will perform both technical lead and supervisory responsibilities for internal analytics and benchmarking projects.In collaboration with CBRE colleagues and clients, they will define business requirements, support collection of data requirements, collaborate with the technical team for the automated data ingestion and integration, design visualizations, and present results to collaborators.
Development of modeling code or dashboards themselves will be performed by the team and not required to be driven by the director.
The ideal candidate possesses a broad ability across seven key categories:advanced project management, team management, strong stakeholder-facing communications, experience in data modeling and relational databases, Tableau expertise, strong benchmarking background, and knowledge of the corporate real estate industry specifically the A&T service line.
Minimum of 6+ years of experience. Advanced degree not required but preferred. This position is remote. Work from home or another CBRE office is an option.What you'll do + Perform both solution lead and supervisory responsibilities for analytics as a service, underwriting for sales pursuits, and product development in support of a variety of corporate and government clients.
+ Create, maintain and optimize creative data visualizations and dashboards (primarily in Tableau) to derive actionable intelligence. + Implements and maintains key processes to be followed by the team and other strategic activities. + Review project work including Tableau dashboards, formal reports, PowerPoint briefings, etc. + Lead collaborator presentations (both in-person and virtually) of project progress meetings and presentations of results. + Problem solve technical issues and stakeholder questions. Increase issues to senior management and dedicated technical team as needed. + Continuous review and improvement of project processes. + Lead pursuit underwriting team and ensure delivery of high volume models in accordance with sales SLAs.+ Define product roadmap to support evolution of A&T analytics workstreams and collaborate with other CBRE product teams to ensure tight integration in various products.
+ Provide subject matter expertise on data-related processes and analyses. + Assigns tasks, responsibilities, evaluates and mentor staff. + Aggregation and analysis of quantitative data; forecast and trending of performance data. + Collect key financial and real estate portfolio data from clients for inclusion in cost models. + Prepare formal written reports describing project methodology, scope, key assumptions, and results. + Other duties may be assigned.What you'll need + To perform this job optimally, an individual must be able to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily.
